For Settimo Dolcetto is their “everyday wine” - for everyday and for every meal. Easy drinking and very versatile with food, the 2014 has a fragrant nose with classic varietal notes of cherry, blackberry and plum rounded off by aromas of violet, red fruit and almonds. With moderate tannins and acidity, it is nicely fresh and fruity on the mouth, showing mainly cherry flavours with a characteristic slightly bitter almond finish. Particularly suited to pizza, pasta, carpaccio and dark green salads.
100% Dolcetto, made in a tradition style: short (7 days) fermentation on the skins without temperature control, then 6 months in concrete tanks.
